Welcome to FilmScout. By using our app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. What FilmScout Does

FilmScout is a family-safe streaming companion that provides scene alerts alongside movies and TV shows. We do not stream, host, or distribute any video content. All streaming happens through your own accounts on third-party services.

2. Your Account

You may use FilmScout as a guest (one free movie), on a free trial, or as a Pro subscriber. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity under it.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

FilmScout Pro is offered as a monthly ($1.99/month) or annual ($14.99/year) subscription. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase for first-time subscribers.
To cancel, manage your subscription through the app Settings.

4. Community-Sourced Timestamps

Scene timestamps in FilmScout are community-sourced and approximate. We do not guarantee accuracy for any specific platform, version, or region. By submitting corrections, you grant FilmScout a license to use that data to improve accuracy for all users.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse-engineer or scrape our API, submit false or harmful content, use the service for unlawful purposes, or share Pro access with others.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

FilmScout is provided "as is." We cannot guarantee scene alerts will be accurate for every version of every movie on every platform. Use your own judgment when watching content with children.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FilmScout is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FilmScout after changes constitutes acceptance.
